Uneventful?

Well, another day down. Today was pretty uneventful for me. (Hahaha!) I get a kick out of what I just wrote with my job and all.

Tomorrow is payday - that's always a good thing. I am planning on going to a family reunion this weekend with my boyfriend's family and will have my son with me. Good thing!

We are catering an event for 450 on Monday and it is a last minute event, so my day became a bit hectic trying to get all the paperwork started. I am beginning to be quite comfortable in figuring out rental needs etc for larger events. The scare factor is gone with bigger numbers. Nice.

The Monday job is for a client's grandfather who passed today or will be dying in the next day. He wasn't to live past today. What a fabulous guy he must be (or have been) to have 450 people at his funeral. Hmmm....

Come to think of it, I'm glad that my uneventful day seemed uneventful to me, because it was a pretty busy day actually. I'm glad I can come through it and feel it was "uneventful"

Oh, one of our employees took off with the leftovers from a coporate party (of a well known coffee co.) we catered over the weekend. How lame is that? I was a bit flustered trying to explain that one to the client, the kitchen manager got on the phone and apologized and got the whole rundown on the situation. Nothing but lameness written all over it.

We are doing a free lunch for them soon.

I'm glad I have my job though, and it is a nice way to spend my day, up to my ears in work. I am one of those types that latch onto anything I get started on, and thank God this brings me some money.

Well I'm off to go blog-hopping......

Gnite

You're going to cater a company lunch for those fellows just 'cause some bloke trashed a few leftovers?

Yes - We are. The desserts were supposed to be packed up and moved to the house, they ran off with them before they had a chance to have them. (for 100 people)

The servers can take some food at a lot of events, but this company had pre-arranged to have boxed leftovers and actually bought extra food just for that.

We will do a smaller lunch for them to make up for it for the folks at their office.

The person who did that ended up quitting today over yet another dramatic incident.

Ok. The first time I read it I got the idea it wasn't really a big mistake on your side.
